Archival Prints on Canvas & Paper
Roarke Sharlow is an accomplished fine art photographer working with digital imaging. Digital manipulation has become integral to his creating painterly images with his photographs.
Roarke has been an avid photographer since 1984. While attending the State University College at Buffalo, NY, he studied photography under the direction of Les Krims.
His continuing pursuit of photography led to his participation in workshops with Brian Lav, a distinguished contemporary photographer, and with Jane Tuckerman, nationally recognized for her alternative photographic techniques.
Roarke has had several solo and group exhibitions and is a yearly participant in the Green Mountain Photo Show. He works with strong, striking compositions to create limited edition photographic prints.
“Creating an emotional balance within each piece permits me to bring forth the image’s technical and emotional qualities. The play of light and shadow across textural surfaces offers the opportunity to develop strong tactile qualities.”
Roarke offers workshops for all abilities. 802.583.2224 for information.
